Angry FC3: postfix, cyrus-sasl, mysql

OK, my mail server was working fine. I must have did some updates or something that has really messed me up. I've been at this for a few days trying to fix it. No luck.

I've tried all sorts of things with /usr/lib/sasl2/smtpd.conf /etc/sysconfig/saslauthd /etc/pam.d/smtp and all other things. I'm really feeling dumb now. I had it working great (after a long amount of hours (weeks) of trying to figure it out (virtual mail hosting)).

Why isn't there a feature in postfix like mysql (for example - the maps) for authentication?

I've even looked in /var/log/maillog and /var/log/messages a lot while working on this... Everything I get something different. I just don't understand what I could have done to mess it up.

Anyone else had this problem?

Best Regards,
Jason
