Exclamation aMule

I just installed aMule in Fedora Core 3 and I cannot run it
I get the following message when I try to run it in the terminal
Initialising aMule
Checking if there is an instance already running...
*** glibc detected *** malloc(): memory corruption: 0x09f552c0 ***
Aborted

Any idea?

Sincerely,
