FC3 -> FC4

I'm running a dual boot XP/FC3 at the moment but I am having issues with X. I want to upgrade to FC4 to try fix this but I am worried the xorg.conf file which I have modified will remain the same. Is this the case?

I'm pretty sure it will, all of my config files stayed the same
but a backup wouldn't hurt, would it

if you even have to ask that question then the answer is always "back it up". during a standard upgrade it should not overwrite an existing xorg.conf file.. but ya never know what can happen.

I seem to have been misunderstood. I would actually like the xorg.conf file to be overwritten to get it back to its original.

oh,
rename it to xorg.conf.old
then upgrade
when no xorg.conf is present it should create a default
