FC4/PPC on a Lombard G3...

For those of you running FC4/PPC on a laptop, a couple of questions:

a) How is the wireless support? My Lombard doesn't support Airport so I'm using an old, failing Skyline 802.11b PCMCIA card and an open source driver that I fear is no longer supported. Any chance FC4 would give me support for an 802.11g replacement?

b) What about DVD playback? OSX has never supported the DVD player in my Lombard. Any chance it might work under FC4?

Thanks!

Can't answer a, but the answer to b is mplayer or xine. I prefer xine. Just add FreshRPMs to the yum repo list, then "yum install xine xine-skins" to get it and dependencies. The FreshRPM mirror I use is:

You'll notice they have a ppc repository, and have xine and associated dependencies in it already.

I'm not familair with that particular card, but driver support is quite good for the Prism Chipset 802.11b cards. You will need to compile it yourself, but it should work.
