HP LaserJet 1022 doesn't work fast enough

Hi people, first post here (but not really a newbie).
I recently bought this printer and I see it's not on the list of laserjets in the "Add a new print queue" wizard in Printer configuration. Although the model is well recognized in the 'step' before that one on /dev/usb/lp0. So I added a new printer on http://localhost:631/admin instead as a generic HP LaserJet on this location and now it's "HP LaserJet Series CUPS v1.1". It is listed in Browsed queues in Printer configuration however Edit is disabled. The problem is that although it prints fine, it does so with nearly a two-minute break between each page. Is there a way to make it work normally?

The first thing that a new user should do on this forum is read the guidelines. They would have told you to SEARCH for your answer. Search is found at the top of every page. Typing HP Laserjet 1022 will produce a whole host of answer. These would have told you to go to
http://www.linuxprinting.org.
Once there click thedatabase and then printer listing.

The rest is easy from there.

Remember USE THE SEARCH LUKE before you POST

Good Luck

I know it seems like there would be people with some issue with this printer and so I did search and it produced none.
But ok maybe I should've tried with "hp laserjet", that way I would find that link.
So thanks for the link.

I did a search for the specific driver in question on the Fedora Forum, and there was no answer here... so I'll post the answer I found... in post # 4 above I posted the new web link... if you go there, you find a "Printers" tab... on the "Printers" tab... you search for "HP" and then "1022"...

and it takes you to this page:

http://openprinting.org/show_printer...-LaserJet_1022

Trying this next....

weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
