Amaya: Irrecoverable error ***Aborted

Hi all, I'm desperately trying to get a WYSIWYG web editor for Linux, I've tried nvu, but need something that works better with PHP.

I'm trying amaya, but everytime I load it, I see it flash on the screen for a second, if I run it from the console, I get this:

Code:
b7d5e000-b7d70000 r--p 00000000 03:03 3420863 /usr/X11R6/lib/X11/fonts/Type1/l048013t.pfa
b7d70000-b7da1000 r--p 00000000 03:03 260799 /usr/share/Amaya-9.1.4/fonts/FreeSerifBold.ttf
b7da1000-b7da3000 rw-p b7da1000 00:00 0
b7da3000-b7da9000 r--s 00000000 03:03 3063994 /usr/lib/gconv/gconv-modules.cache
b7da9000-b7fa9000 r--p 00000000 03:03 3063773 /usr/lib/locale/locale-archive
b7fa9000-b7fb1000 rw-p b7fa9000 00:00 0
bf8b3000-bf8c9000 rw-p bf8b3000 00:00 0 [stack]
*** Amaya: Irrecoverable error ***Aborted
Anyone have any suggestions on how to get it working? Or even suggestions on a good WYSIWYG editor that preferably has PHP syntax highlighting, I'm coming from Dreamweaver, and really don't like booting back to Windows just to write some pages. It needs to support sites and FTP as well.

Thanks, Savage

From the Amaya documentation:

If the amaya binary doesn't work

Here is a few rules to check if the amaya binary just produced does not start:

1. Check that the shared libraries needed by amaya are found on the system. The command

ldd bin/amaya

should print all the shared libraries needed by amaya and the path to the corresponding libraries in the system.
2. Check that the amaya compiled schemas are present, namely Amaya/amaya/HTML.STR,
Amaya/amaya/HTMLP.PRS...
3. Verify that the main registry file Amaya/config/unix-thot.rc is present.
4. Launch Amaya with strace on Linux (strace amaya) to locate the problem.

Additionally if this is a new install of FC4 there are some older applications that won't compile correctly in GCC 4.0. Depending on which version of Amaya you are trying to use it may be one of them. Might be a good idea to install the "compat-gcc-32" and "compat-gcc-32-c++" packages in YUM and try again. Hope this helps.
