xine no longer works on FC4
I have just upgraded from FC3 to FC4, and xine (which I use to play audio CDs) no longer works. At startup, it gives me the following message:
xine: There is no mrl.
Tips are welcome.

i'm also running FC4 and i managed to install xine just fine, i use it all the time. I installed xine from rpm packages from this place, they have directions right on there on how to install things. I found it pretty useful.

# rpm -qa | grep xine

xine-ui-0.99.3cvs-050623
xinetd-2.3.13-6

Mine is:
$ rpm -qa | grep -i xine
xine-skins-1.10-1.fc
xinetd-2.3.13-6
xine-0.99.3-4.2.fc4
xine-lib-devel-1.0.1-2.2.fc4
xine-lib-1.0.1-2.2.fc4
I think I had installed from freshrpms. No control panel when I start xine. When I right click the screen area it closes itself. Seeing other people having installed it from livna and having problems also I don't know installing from livna would help.
Those who have it working fine. Can you post where you installed it from?

The freshrpms version works fine here, except for the lack of the control panel (but control keys works well)

Does it quit when you right click screen area?
By the way, I just noticed center-click on screen area makes control panel appear.

Yes it closes when right-clicking. There's no error report so my only guess is that it's doing exactly what it was meant to do...
The control panel appears pressing "g" too.

Well at least the version I used in FC3 (I don't remember the version number) used to pop up a context menu when you right-clicked the screen area. So unless they changed that feature, it's a bug.
