help enabling keys on logitech elite keyboard.

hello again all,
i need some help getting this keyboards extra buttons to work.
it has a volume up and down wheel,quick launch buttons, fwd ,rwd,play,pause buttons and others.
i know i can find the keycodes with xev, and that xorg.conf input section has to be edited and also Xmodmap. What do i add/remove to these configs? how do i make those buttons launch certain apps?im using kde 3.3 by the way. any help would be GREAT thanxs in advance.
