24 hour clock FC4

Hello,

How do I set the system time to use a 24 hour clock in FC4. I am able to display the 24 hour clock in GNOME using Preferences after right clicking on the desktop clock, but does that set the overall system clock?

I am asking becuse I am using Thunderbird for email and would like it to show 24 hr format. The mozilla forums for thunderbird say that it will take the time format cue from the OS and use the same format. So since TB is not using the 24 hr format, I am guessing that I do not have FC4 set on the 24 hr format.

Any ideas?

Thanks

you can set the system to follow the UTC though
here's the configuration file:
/etc/sysconfig/clock

there are options in there to set UTC up.
the easier way is to use this command:
system-config-time
