Hi Thanks for the relpy

Not upgrading to Core 4. Its a first time install. The lap top is new. Below are some specs. Would it be a graphics driver problem u think?


AMD Athlon 64 3500+ Processor
1024 Mb RAM DDR
15.4" Widescreen BrightView Display
128Mb ATi 200M IGP dedicated graphics
Cant think at the moment what make the Hard Drive is

thats what the original post was that people are talking about. I think you mean to post your reply on another thread maybe because it just seems a bit random.

yep it is indeed... and the forum appears to be running fine now. What was being changed in the form application earlier? does this means there is going to be some new features or was it just security patches.

I dono what the story is with the Form application earlier. Dono how it got on this thread. Do I give up hope on using Fedora on my laptop then?

It seems to be some kind of conflict (if I remember correctly then Fedora tries to detect hardware after trying to enter the graphical installation), but I am not so experienced user to give some help. Don't give up, just wait a bit, maybe someone knows - you didn't post so much time ago. You may bump that thread with those specs when you see that the thread is too behind. Meanwhile you may search by google something. When I first time installed linux a year ago I had some installation problems too, but I got it working after hanging around and searching for help for about a month.
