Unhappy screensaver for FC4 & GNOME ?

I want an alternative to Xscreensaver (since IT WILL NOT RUN if I'm logging in as root), I have to login as root, so if someone can tell me about other application OR how to make Xscreensaver runs under root.

Thanks in advance.

I'm curious as to why you have to log in as root? I haven't heard of a setup where this is a requirement.
