Can't start gnome-dictionary in FC4.

Am I the only one who can't start gnome-dictionary from the GNOME menu or a from a panel shortcut?

The process "gnome-dictionary -a" is running, but the dictionary window never appears.

If I start "gnome-dictionary" from a terminal everything works fine, but what does the undocumented -a switch mean?
Adding -a in the terminal gives the same disappointing result as running it from the menu.

I did an upgrade from FC3 to FC4 BTW, in case that would matter.

Addendum: Now I noticed that adjusting the panel shortcut's Properties, removing the "-a", also affected the item in the GNOME menu. So the problem is solved. Now, is this a bug that needs to be filed?

Sorry if I was unclear in my original post, but there are no messages.

Other than that I get a sleeping "gnome-dictionary -a" process, nothing happens. Just like when I run it from the menu.

Is the -a switch set in a fresh, default FC4 gnome-dictionary installation, or is this just a dysfunctional remnant on my FC3 -> FC4 system?

I had the same problem. It works if I remove the -a from
the applet's properties. This may have been left over from
FC3.
