Linksys WPC54G
Hi gang,
I'm new to the forum so go easy on me
I just did a clean install of FC4 on my IBM T30 laptop, and as I expected it did not detect the Linksys WPC54G PCMCIA card. From reading some threads, is my only option the ndis wrapper? Also, will this support WPA authentication or am I stuck with WEP?
Thanks!

Ok, after more research on sourceforge I have answered my question. ndiswrapper appeares to be my only option and I also see WPA is supported.

Do you have the rt2500 chipset, I think so, but I'm not sure. If so, do not use ndiswrapper! go to http://rt2x00.serialmonkey.com/wiki/index.php/Main_Page and use those instead.
Check /sbin/lspci to see if you have it.

Thanks for the help! While I read all the wonderful links above, I have resorted to using my old Orinoco Gold card using WEP. I will take a stab at the ndiswrapper and WPA functionality soon.

There is a good, low cost alternative to ndiswrapper. Look at Driverloader from linuxant: http://www.linuxant.com/driverloader/
