Intermittent Boot Failure

I have this intermittent problem with FC3, wheby sometimes during a reboot, it does not boot and I see [<C0xxxxxx>] (xxxx are changing numbers) in the first column and other text in a second column streaming down the screen so fast you cannot read it.

This will carry on indefinetly unless I power off and on again, it appears to happen at the stage where it is starting up the hardware. i.e starting Audio, Network etc etc

As this is before the system is booted, is there any way to trace the cause and does anyone have any idea what the cause might be ??

It does not happen all of the time !

Thanx

PeterC

If I understand you right then it happens just before the graphival part is started. Have you updated FC with the latest version of udev? There where a few issues with udev, maybe this is one of them, just run yum update with the yum.conf from www.fedorafaq.org
