reiserfs selinux

Why there are no possibility to run reiserfs with selinux. Reiserfs support extendet posix atributes so I think it's just matter of configuration. Am I wrong?

Version 3 is end of life and no development has taken place on it for a long time. It does not have SELinux attibutes.
SELinux in FC are defined for it upstream but the policy would be unrestricted.
(This topic has been an ongoing crying fit in the test list for two weeks. What part of NO cann't the version 3 people understand?)

Version 4 is nothing more that a very big math project. Interesting and deep, but without an army of module coders to advance the parts it will be old news before it gets a foot hold.
That is because, the perfectly balance B+ tree files system objects will change faster than they can be id'ed in the real world of disk metohds. Plus the agressive nature of some of the methods my be a bit too much for a desktop pc.

But who knows, maybe Johnie is in his room coding some powerful new math functions as I speak.

working xattr support in Reiserfs was only added in 2.6.12-rc1. Reiserfs itself is shipped as it is in Fedora, so if you have problems you will have to report it directly to the upstream kernel. The supported filesystems are ext3/2

More details on xattr in Reiserfs
