Asus A8V-Deluxe AMD +Fedora Core 3

Hi, I have some experince with using Linux but am not very knowledgable on the hardware side of things. I'm planning to build a computer and to use Fedora Core 3. I've been looking at the Asus A8V-Deluxe AMD motherboard and AMD Athlon 64 2800+ 64 bit processor. I'm concerned about compatibility with drivers as sound, graphics, network etc is all on board. Has anyone had any experience, good or bad, with this motherboard and redhat?

Thanks!

Now, that's the smart way to go about getting a computer.

I would beef up that processor to 3200 for 64 bit. That seems to be the design jump level.
There are 2 video makers, ati and nvidia.
I would put my money for linux on a nvidia 5200 or 5700 (although, it will be dependent on nvidia for advanced dirvers). They are the same card with the 5700 having some i/o options.
Get an Inel 10/100/1000 pro nic.
Sound Blaster is pretty standard.
Only use high spec memory and a tried and tested disk band.
Get two smaller disks vs. one hugh one or one small for the OS and a hugh one for the slave and data.
No dual booting with windows, but you can install other linux disrtos if you really have too.
PS2 mouse and keyboard unless you know for sure the driver are in FC.
Update the bios if one is available.
