Gnome hangs on restart/shutdown

When I wnat to restart/shutdown my PC, after submitting that Logout/restart/shutdown window, Gnome partyl freezes - icons are not responding, only thing I can do is to close opened windows...so I have to shutdown/restart using Ctr+Alt+F* console..then it works OK...
