Problem reading DVD+R

My friend burned me a dvd+r on his windows machine. When I dual-boot to windows I can read it OK. But in FC3 it mounts, but all the directories just appear as zero-byte files, though with the correct names -- any idea what's going on here? (The dvd player plays commercial videos fine. This is the first time I've tried a data dvd though)
