Fedora1 ISO won't boot from CD

I'm upgrading a RH9 laptop to Fedorah 3....

I've downloaded the CD ISO's...md5 ok...but although the laptop spins up the Fedora CD1....the laptop seems to ignore the CD drive and my Lilo RH9 kernal options come up....

if I put the RH9 disk1 in the CD drive...the CD gets read OK....and option to load/reload is offered...

Any suggestions?

Can you see files on the CD or is it an ISO file?
If ISO file then you need to burn the iso from disk as "burn at once".

2. Did you press a key to start the CD booting when the message showed on the screen during boot?

First you need to be sure it was burned as an image, not a huge file, then you have to be sure that the BIOS can boot from CD.

There's ISO burn instructions here. How to boot from CD depends on the BIOS in the machine, usually there's a key to set it up right after the power is switched on.
