"TINY" monitors

I have an LTSP setup in my office.

I've just got some 1999 "Tiny" branded monitors, model numbers A1554NEL.

The client boots up fine but when it gets to the X login screen, the monitor goes blank?!

Can anybody help?

put a monitor back on it that you obviously installed ok with....
after booting into the graphical screen--find the "display" setup and set it to
generic 800x600 monitor
or since the monitor will run 1024x768 set it to
generic monitor 1024x768
it will still work with the original setup and "should" work with the new monitor--
unless the original monitor was a LAPTOP screen, and then it's apples and oranges again.

I solved this by adding the following to lts.conf

        X_MODE_1 = 800x600 40 800 840 968 1056 600 601 605 628 +hsync +vsync
        X_MODE_2 = 640x480 31.5 640 664 704 832 480 489 492 520 +hsync +vsync
