fix must move mouse for keystrokes to appear ?

Hi,

Using fedora 1, I was running a VNC server for almost a month.

One day, the following behavior occured:
I have to move the mouse for keystroke to appear.

I tried "xev", and the keystroke only appears if I move the mouse.
I can type ~30 chars, press arrow keys, and wait 30 seconds: nothing shows up.
As soon as I move the mouse everything updates.

I tried closing the VNC client, and opening a fresh new vncviewer from a different machine, but the problem is still there.

Of course, I have some long running programs in that session...
How can I recover ?
