nothing but ping when using iptables and nat

I have just installed fedora 3 on a box intented as firewall (and nat), using iptables.

I am able to acces the internet from the firewall box, but my clients (mostly windows) on the protected network are only able to ping. It is not a dns problem because i am able to ping with domaine names.

I am using a iptables script that is working on a red hat 7.2.
In order to solve the problem I installed firestarter but it give the same result.

What could be the cause for this problem.

You have some kind of NAT setup?

Check the logs on the firewall machine.
