Problem installing Java

Hi,

I have only just installed FC3 and this being my first foray into Linux I was suprised how easily everything installed until that is I tried to get java running.

Have followed the instructions in:

http://stanton-finley.net/fedora_cor...tes_nocss.html

and checked the forums and they all say the same thing. Have even linked the libjavaplugin_oji.so file to firefox plugins as well as the mozilla plugins but still to no avail. All I get is that I need to install java when I go into any site requiring java.

When I do an ll command in the plugins directory of mozilla and firefox it shows link to the ns7 directory of the jre1.5.0_03 installation.

Can I uninstall the java and start again but have no idea where to even start or any ideas why its not working.

Thanks in adavance.
