Fedora Core 4 Test 3 - Thinkpad T23 boot failed

Hi everybody,

I just installed Fedora Core 4 Test 3 on my IBM Thinkpad T23.
Unforturnately, it failed on first boot.

It hangs after following message:

"
....
....
extracting kernel...... ok, booting
"

Something like that if i am not remember wrongly.

Anybody can help me on this issue, maybe passing some kernel paramerter to bootloader during boot operation?

Thanks all for help

Unfortunately, it's impossible to say what went without more details as to where it failed. Boot rescue mode or a live CD and see if there's anything in the logs in /var/log.

I was experiencing similar type of problems with my laptop and I was able to overcome boot problem by disabling use of SELinux (add option selinux=0 for kernel start-up at boot time)

As recommended by Mitrpaka, i tried to add selinux=0 at kernel option during boot. And it can boot successfully. Thanks for helping.

Does anyone know why we need to disable SELinux?

I found this through fedora-test-list:
