Gnome problem and Network install help thanks :)

hi i have fedora3 installed
and gnome does not have the time and put open icons at the top menu
any more
is there a way i can just reinstall gnome?

also if i need to do a fresh install, i dont have a cdrom on the fedora3 box any more
i have the 4 iso files on my windows xp does some one have a tutorail on doing a
network install for this also?

yes the bottom bar is their?
no date or time at top
and stuff that is open when i minimize it they disappear they used to go to the top bar?

right click an empty space on the bar/panel--add applet--clock
then do again and add another complete panel if ya want to even--then click that new one and move it or tell it to be on top.
Bars/panels are very customizable......explore the choices until you get it set like ya want.
Dozens of choices for this!

thanks now about the network install

thank you on the gnome panel
got it the way i liked
that was easy thanks for the tip on that

now is it possible to do a network install
from my winxp box that has the 4 iso of
fedora3 and install it with out having
a cdrom installed?

You would need to serve them over the network in some way, via http, ftp or nfs. (I believe all of these support network installs via isos.) For example, you could use Apache httpd.

Then boot the installer and run

linux askmethod
at the prompt. The easiest way is to boot CD1. You'll save 3 CDs at least.

Maybe PXE network boot will work, but it's a bit complicated. see this old Red Hat howto.
