Error installing K-3D.

I have tried installing this and received this error message:

"checking for C++ compiler default output file name... configure: error: C++ compiler cannot create executables
See `config.log' for more details."

Any suggestions?

Also, if there is another 3D app out there anyone could suggest, I'm all ears.
