vsFTP

Hello everyone,

I am trying to get a vsftp server to let me connect to it via Internet Explorer. I can log onto the ftp service locally. However when I try to connect via IE from my XP machine I get this error "550 failed to change directory", and it has a comment to check permissions. I have checked my log file for vsftp and it tells me

"[s3xynanigoat] OK LOGIN: CLIENT"

when trying to connect to the server using IE I type "ftp://ip-address/"

Can someone tell me where my permissions may be incorrect? Or point me some where please.

Ever,

Would you give me an example on how to setup a and account that has read only rights to a directory while other accounts have r/w?
