Share Profiles Between 2 Linux Computers

Hello,

I have 2 computers which I want to share the same profiles. I want the basement comp (runs FC3 24/7) to serve the usernames, passwords, and settings etc... and I want to have my computer that is dual bootable (Win XP and FC3) to use the basement comp to get authenticate me and use the settings for my username thats on the basement comp when I am on FC3. Does anyone know how I can do this?

You can use NIS to synchronise acount information between the two computers.
The settings are located in the users home dir. You can use NFS to mount those from the server in the basement.

Don't know how it should be configured. Have not tried it myself (yet)
