I am having an Intel(R) 82865G Graphics Controller and want it to be detected in Fedora Core 2. Can anyone please help me on this. I have been trying that for the past 10 days.

What is your situation at the moment, no X at all? You should be able to get some kind of X up with the "vesa" X driver. Please describe what you tried and what happens.

Is it the garbled GUI that you get right before your X kicks in? Many people experienced this issue with certain xorg-x11 version, but that has been fixed with the latest xorg-x11 upgrade. I'm not certain if this problem affects previous Fedoras other than FC4.

I have used Intel865 with FC3 and FC4, works great. Not sure about FC2 though.
