I have the same problem. It has something to do with OpenGL I believe. Like it's not enabled. But I haven't found anything to fix it. Hope somewhere on here knows how! I would love to totally get away from using Windows just to game.

Did you really try google? The answer is right here in this forum. You do not have the driver installed properly.

Look here http://www.fedoraforum.org/forum/showthread.php?t=25801 Hopefully that helps

No fair!

I followed those intructions and everything went fine. Restarted the machine and tried launching ut2004. This is what I got:

[andrew@bender ~]$ ut2004
WARNING: ALC_EXT_capture is subject to change!
Couldn't set video mode: Couldn't find matching GLX visual

History:

Exiting due to error
[andrew@bender ~]$

Any ideas? Doesn't seem like Direct Rendering is enabled.

EDIT: Using ATI 9800 PRO with the 2.6.11-1.14_FC3smp kernel.

I'm not sure what this means ":WARNING: ALC_EXT_capture is subject to change!
Couldn't set video mode: Couldn't find matching GLX visual" try googling that error message

also what does commands fglrxinfo and glxinfo say?

and try running a different game may be its something with UT4 and not the driver
