Thank you for the link, but it's hard to believe with all the errors in grammar and spelling. I also found three links that were broken. Seems like the site was thrown together quickly and sloppily - which makes me wonder how they will handle security as far as your personal information is concerned. Sorry, but it sounds suspicious to me. If you want free CD's, my advice is to download the ISO's from a trusted source and check the MD5SUM of all files. There is no telling what you might unknowingly install from files for which you cannot check the integrity.

This site , however, has been around for a long time and they are trusted. And, their prices are a bargain in my opinion.

Just my $0.02

Have someone already registered? Do they really send CDs? I just do not want to register for nothing.

You can order ubuntu cd's of the ubuntu site for free, so that distro is nothing special. I just looked at the site and I think it's fake, especially the dates as suggested above.

I also think it's a fake. But maybe someone knows where one can order free Slackware or FC4 (also any Unix cds and Solaris would be good) cds?
Sure I could download it and even burn but if it's possible to order them for free - I'd like to do it

I want to have only Slachware, FC4 or Gentoo on CDs (amoung Linuxes). But Ubuntu (so as Kubuntu) is toooooo clicky-bunty for me. Do not want to have any.
I really prefer Linux on my PC but I would install server under Linux - I need Unix or Solaris (you could say Solaris is Unix but I really think Solaris stands away from any other Unix distro).
I want to have CDs which I really need and not just somehting free!!!

Talking FREE Slackware 10.2 CDs

Hello Everyone,

I have a website HERE where you can get free Slackware 10.2 CDs. I am giving away 25 Install CD sets per month. First come, first serve. There is NO shipping cost and NO catches.

If you have any questions, please send me a personal message in the forum or send me an email from my website. I will happy to answer any concerns that you have.

Thanks,
Lee

Seems like a scam in oreder to get personal information then sell that to companies who use Bulk email as a marketing trick. I've taken classes on marketing and know that people will do just about anything to get your information then sell it to another source. Big name companies do it all the time, that's how you recieve Bulk/Spam email.

You can download the ISO's faster, and for free, without giving out any personal information. So if you want the CDs just take a day to download them, it's worth it.

Hello JustinMcG67,

Thanks for your feedback, but you are mistaken. I do NOT intend to sell anyone's information for bulk email. I have been burned like that myself, and I do NOT intend to do it to anyone else. Everyone does not have broadband access to download Linux ISOs, and I am providing this service as an option for those who don't.

Tell you what: I will find a way for my clients to contact you after they receive their CDs, and they can tell you for themselves if they are getting spammed because of me. Deal?

Free, I had some initial doubts myself. After all, it's very strange for someone to take the time and money to distribute CD's with no real hope of financial reward - shame it's Slackware, of course.... I see you're a minister, so that may explain your charity and will hope that all the feedback is positive, since the Forum can't be affiliated with practices that are not 100% aboveboard.
