Need Audio Help, "Tinny" Sound

My sound sounds like it is playing music in a tin can, it wasn't like this the first time I installed FC3, but once I reinstalled it, it doesn't sound as good anymore. I have a 4.1 surround card and surround speakers.

What audio sever do I use? Arts? Alsa? OSS? What are the best levels for the sliders in the mixer? Should I enable "Full duplex" in KDE's control panel, how do I set it up in KDE"s control center for the best results?

Hi
I suggest you use ALSA and try giving
Code:
alsamixer
at the prompt and playing around with the settings to make it work properly.
