USB hp4200C scanner on fedora core 3

Hi !
I need help for configure the scanner
I found 2 rpm of sane patched for my scanner and I installed it whit
[root@localhost marco]# rpm -i --force sane-backends-1.0.12-4.i686.rpm

[root@localhost marco]# sane-find-scanner

# No SCSI scanners found. If you expected something different, make sure that
# you have loaded a SCSI driver for your SCSI adapter.
# Also you need support for SCSI Generic (sg) in your operating system.
# If using Linux, try "modprobe sg".

found USB scanner (vendor=0x03f0, product=0x0105) at libusb:002:002
# Your USB scanner was (probably) detected. It may or may not be supported by
# SANE. Try scanimage -L and read the backend's manpage.

# Scanners connected to the parallel port or other proprietary ports can't be
# detected by this program.

[root@localhost marco]# scanimage hp4200:libusb:002:002
scanimage: no SANE devices found

This is my first time whit sane and I very need to run my scanner..
Thanks for help

MArco

Try xsane or kooka and see if you can scan an image that way. If that doesn't work, then try adding usb 0x03f0 0x0105 to /etc/sane.d/hp.conf, power off then power on your scanner and try xsane or kooka again.
