MythTV on FC3

I am trying to build a PVR system out of FC3 and Myth TV. I've got FC3 installed and updated, and Myth TV finally installed. My current problem is that MySQL is not loading. I am not getting a "avc: denied" error anymore, only:
Apr 9 22:25:24 localhost mysqld: Starting MySQL: failed
And I get this error when I try to start the daemon:
Timeout error occurred trying to start MySQL Daemon.
the service just doesn't want to load. I've tried the steps in previous threads of setenforce 0, and still it's not working. Any help?

What version of MySQL? 3.23.x or 4.x? Check out /var/log/mysql/mysqld.log.

4.1.11 Fresh download from mysql.org
here is the copy of the log from my most recent attempt to load MySql:
050410 10:34:59 mysqld started
Cannot initialize InnoDB as 'innodb_data_file_path' is not set.
If you do not want to use transactional InnoDB tables, add a line
skip-innodb
to the [mysqld] section of init parameters in your my.cnf
or my.ini. If you want to use InnoDB tables, add to the [mysqld]
section, for example,
innodb_data_file_path = ibdata1:10M:autoextend
But to get good performance you should adjust for your hardware
the InnoDB startup options listed in section 2 at
http://www.innodb.com/ibman.html
050410 10:34:59 /usr/libexec/mysqld: Table 'mysql.host' doesn't exist
050410 10:34:59 mysqld ended

I went to the manual in the log this morning and I think I can get this to work. I'll be trying it tonight and let you know.

Another problem that I am having is getting my APG card with TV Out port to send a proper image to my TV. All I can get is a scrambled screen.
GIGABYTE ATI RADEON 9550 Video Card, 128MB DDR, 64-Bit, TV-Out, 8X AGP, Model "GV-R955128T"

Cool. Hopefully you found the if you put the skip-innodb line in /etc/my.cnf that MySQL starts. MythTV does not require InnoDB table types, so if you are not using the MySQL instance for any other databases, you should be fine to turn it off (and, thus, making MySQL use its default MyISAM table type).

Re: the TV-Out problem, I do not have any experience getting Myth to work through an ATI card (I stick to NVidia). One guess is that your TVStandard is not set to NTSC in xorg.conf.

Section "Device"
...
...
Option "TVStandard" "NTSC-M"
Option "TVOutFormat" "SVIDEO"
EndSection
