Can't use microphone @ FC2

ive got FC2, and a microphone that works (nothing wrong with it), i plugged it into the right place on my pc, but when trying 2 record on krec or using Teamspeak it doesnt work .. any ideas why?

open your favorite mixer app and have a look whether 'mic' is enabled

it is...i used kmix & alsamixer and in both it seems 2 be enabled
