Upgrade process similar to apt-get dist-upgrade?

Hey everyone,

I have been using debian for longer than I can remember and I have come to a turning point in my life and I am considering the move to Fedora.

I am not very familiar with the upgrade process, from one release to the next, as I've never had to worry about this with debian (apt-get dist-upgrade).

Is there a straightforward process for upgrading Fedora, say from 3 > 4 when it is released, without having to download install the new release's CDs every time? This is one of the great things about debian that has kept me with it for such a long time...

Thanks

Yes, it can certainly be done with Yum. Here's a very recent thread on just that: http://fedoraforum.org/forum/showthr...ht=yum+upgrade

Thanks for the link. Sorry about the double post. I was trying to figure out how to close my original one. Do normal users have that functionality?
