recording records?

hi all
is it possible to record big cd's(vinyl records) as my son likes to call them onto the pc? and if it is what equipment will i need, software etc. i have quite a few and they are in dak cupboard waiting to be rescued

ReZound is a good one for recording. Gnome Wave Cleaner is great for removing pops and clicks.

You'll need a sound card with inputs.

Here's a guide to ripping from an analog source with sox.

Also found an old tool called Grammofile.
