Sound Blaster Live 5.1 digital no subwoofer output.

I have sound to all speakers apart from the subwoofer. I have no bass whatsoever.

In windows i have to choose the "Bass Redirection" option in AudioHQ to get the subwoofer to work. I'm guessing i need to enable a similar thing in linux.

If it makes any difference, i'm using analog not digital speakers. What must i do to get my subwoofer working?

Thanks.

I have a SB Live value with cd anolog cable and some add-on digital cable on my FC3 box.
I don't know which I have but I would guess anolog.

On the machine next to it I have a Creative Inspire T5400 5.1 speaker system.
It's a win xp box and has sound max 4. The software asks what did you plaug into this hole (front, rear, center/Bass) and figures out the enteral channels.

I would like to switch the 5.1 over to the FC3 box.
So on the SB Live there is a hole marked rear and front and and the center-bass would be something like line-in or mic or aux-in.

But you are saying you have sound on the center speaker but not the bass, yet on my system all the spekers are pluged into the bass and it has a remote oh/off/power wheel switch with a bass adjust wheel switch.

so,
1. Are you sure your center speaker is playing?
2. Is the bass wheel switch turned up enough.
3. What is you speaker system, name, model?

If what your are asking is true, I don't see how anyone would ever know what to do to set up different speaker systems.
I'm sure hope someone knows. (Like un mute the mic line?)

But for starters, try following the wires from the bass box to the card and plug in f-f,r-r,cb-?? and see what happens.
