I would be careful in doing this, but I have had some success with RH 9 and RHE 3 with Fedora Core 3. Not all wll work with Fedora, but you can try either, and if they do not work just remove them.

What program are you looking for? Did you download the new repository lists for yum or try installing apt-get to find regular FC3 binaries. It seems rare to me that I find RH binaries that don't have FC3 versions on any of the repos (but it does happen, I guess).

This sometimes works and sometimes doesn't, and can cause seemingly random crashes. What about downloading the source and compiling it yourself rather than doing the ol' RPM hunt? I've found that in the last year or 2 with other RPM-based distros (SUSE, Mandrake) becoming popular that it can be really time consuming to hunt down an RPM for any given distro. I've taken to compiling my own more and more.

The other thing you could do if you feel comfortable. Download the source and install (if source is provided)...
Just a thought. Great advice awdac Taft, you were to quick for me.

If you add Dag's repo to your yum, you should be able to get FPing at least. If you don't want to do that, here's a link for getting the rpm:
http://rpmfind.net/linux/RPM/dag/fed...3.rf.i386.html
I didn't come across any for speedy CGI. Looks like you may have to find that in source.
EDIT: Actually, here is a place that lists a src.rpm get that and compile it. You should be good to go.

FPing 2.4 can be found here: http://dag.wieers.com/packages/fping/
I could not find SpeedyCGI, so you may have to install from source - or, better yet, build your own RPM.
I like building my own RPM's.
