KDE has amnesia

Hello

I'm running Fedora, but I switched to the stock KDE3.1 instead of Gnome.

Here's my problem. Things I add just don't appear. For example, I installed Plastik. No sign of it at all. Then, since I use a network, I installed the ksambakdeplugin (off the last LXF DVD), no sign of it.

Am I missing something completely obvious or is there something more sinister afoot in this?

I'm running Yarrow, and if anything else would be relevant here please tell me

Thanks in advance

Lixy

I'd recommend upgrading to KDE 3.2.1, not only will you get Plastik by default but its a lot faster and more stable. You can get the RPMs from here.

The packages you've obtained might only work in KDE 3.2

There's a tutorial here for its installation too.
