IRC links

Hello all,

Ive got xchat installed on my system and was wondering how can I get irc links to work with xchat in mozilla? For instance, if I click on a link lets say irc://url..blahblahblah, all I get is "irc is not a registered protocol". Anyone know how to open these irc links with xchat?

Thanks for your help/
