I am running Fedora Core 2...I just got it installed and when I go to type anywhere in gnome, the keyboard sticks...I had this same keyboard on another system and worked fine...I even plugged in a different keyboard that I KNOW works and it did the same thing...thanks for your help...

Also just found out that the keyboard works fine in text mode and even while entering username and password in graphical but when I go to get on the internet or a txt editor or anything it sticks...also if it asks for the root password to change settings or something it sticks then too...please help...it is VERY difficult to work like this... lol

Assuming "sticks" means that pressing they keys has no effect, I've had this experience on some machines. They would install FC3 with a ps/2 keyboard and mouse. But after logging in, the the mouse and keyboard would not work. The only solution I found ( on a Dell Optiplex GS240) was to use a usb keyboard and mouse. Anyone know a better solution?

I've never seen this problem before. Describe your hardware, maybe some other owner knows about it.

I've kinda got it fixed...I just went into preferences and then the keyboard and set it up to not repeat when the key is held down...this makes it much better however when I go to delete something I can't just hold down the delete key...I have to hit it numerous times...I think this will work for now...just need to figure out how to set it up as a webserver now...anybody know of any good tutorials or have some advice for me???

Thx...

I've had a similar problem, but it only occurs when I'm running a VNC connection to my FC3 box over a slow network connection. It has the exact same symptom. The other issue I have is if I type too much faster than the characters appear on the screen, sometimes they'll jumble. I.e. 'ymu udptae' -- very odd.

As far as webservers are concerned, I'd load the httpd package, and there should be some good documentation out there for configuring it.

I have similar problems. When I play UT2004 the keys sometimes "stick" so that for example when I have ran a bit and want to stop my character keeps running some extra meters. It's really annoying when keep falling of things...!
I have also experienced some of this problems in Openoffice and Mozilla; but it is not very often.

Thanks for the tip above; I'll give it a try. But it doesn't really fix the real issue I guess...
