Unhappy What is going on with FedoraForum?

It seems as though the forum has loads of threads recently that 'seem' to be people having little digs at one another or having digs at a certain person.

I think it is a shame as this forum and the community behind this forum are great. I personally think that some of the more recent threads are letting the place down a little.

The forum seems to be moving from the most useful and a very friendly Fedora community to just another forum that has some good posts on it.

Ok so maybe its not quite that bad, I accept that most posts are still useful, helpful or at least on topic.

A certain individiual is clearly a clever person, if you look at some of this persons posts, some of their answers, and some of their suggestions.
The sort of person that can help this community grow through the help he can offer.

They 'appear' to have broken no rules, yet their actions seem to have made them the target of several sharp remarks.

Having a negative effect of 'getting this guys back up' which is causing him to post more threads that are atracting less than useful remarks.

I don't think its fair to name drop, most people probably know the threads/posts/member involved. I would like to see this whole issue come to an end one way or another.

I don't want to be involved in another flame war, if you can call it that, I don't wnat to encourage anyone to justify what they have said or done.
I just wanted to make a comment that some people may read and may just sit back for a moment before posting or responding to posts.

Dave, thanks for your well-intentioned post. You are absolutely right that the Forum should be a place for people to work through their computer problems, not their personal issues. Hopefully, if members think they've been slighted or have a particular personal problem they'll send a quick note to the Community Managers, who are around to deal with such things. Likewise, it is the Community Managers' responsibility to make sure that actions are taken to prevent damage to the Forum and keep it on track.

Let's all keep our abilities centered on making FC work properly for each of it's users.

Thanks again.

Bob.

I just posted a reply to another thread, dealing with this same thing. In that post I remind myself and all who participate in this marvelous forum to treat all with the dignity and respect we would all want to receive.. lets ALL try to refrain from taking swipes at each other.
Regardless of the relative quality of the post, every post was presented, for the most part, in sincerity with the genuine desire to either get or give help or advice. If we feel we have something to contribute which might be helpful, reply. If it is beyond our personal scope of experience or expertise, or if the post annoys us for what ever reason, move on to something else. Refrain from that caustic, negative, critical, impertinant, irrelevant remark.
Just my $0.02
Thanks,
owa
