Super slow connection

Hi, I finally managed to get my wireless connetion working* but it's very slow and my iwconfig shows the following information. Sometimes the signal strength goes from 0/100 or 50/100 same thing goes for the link quality. I'm using Dlink 520+ and acx100-0.2.0pre8_plus_fixes_45 drivers. I need help fixing this problem, thank you.

Some things to try.

1. Set any TX settings (NIC, access point, router, modem) that you can get to to 10 Mbs full duplex.
2. Set the MTU to 1403 or 1500 which ever seems to work better.
3. Move the equipment away from other electrical sources to reduce noise.
4. Shorten cable from phone line and or replace with new cable(s).
5. Check outside phone connection for dirt, water, age(have line tested for noise via phone company and test modem for noise/ failure level).
6. Get closer to the acces point.

See, I get 100% signal strength and 80% link quality on my windows boot but on fedora everything seems slow. The connection drops and comes back almost every 3 seconds.

So now we know it is in FC3.

I looked up that DLINK device on google and read a few things.
1. ISA to PCMIA bus and PCI 2.2 non compliate (minnor points but may apply).
2. Driver (Linux) is tied to firmware version. (Don't know the status.)

If you mean by other wireless managers, another wireless device, oh yes, coz yours is in the dark ages of wireless.
Get a new 11a,b,g combo or straight g on both ends that work well and have had good reviews (from qualied reviewers) and jump into the new age.
