Lightbulb xfce4

Hi newbie here,

can anyone tell me how to add an applications menu to xfce4? I seen it on a m8 archlinux liked & installed on fedora core 3 but it didn't put an app menu & I don't know how.
Go easy on me pls,

xfce 4.0 doesn't have a app menu. 4.2 does though. You can get the latest RPMs from the xfce site.
