Control Center?

So, ever since RH 9 i've been using KDE, but on FC3 I've switched allegences over to GNOME, it prettied up my desktop a little bit. The only thing i miss is the KDE control center, having all of the random system settings cut up over three different menues (preferences/system settings/system tools) is a little annoying. It's hard to find exactly what i'm looking for at times... (i've still not found how to make step through (alt tab) step through windows on all of the windows)...

i guess my question is, is there any software that can add a kde style control center to Gnome??

eh?

Boy Wonder

I haven't tried it, so can't give you a report but check this out: http://www.linuxcompatible.org/story42235.html

Better yet: an RPM version - http://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3/stat....i386.rpm.html and more specifically for FC3 under the 'other distributions': http://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3?stat...nter&srodzaj=3

I'll let you check yum and apt repositories for it - I'm running FC2, so can't be sure if it's available.

(Google is a wonderous machine "Gnome Control Center" = 779,000 results")

You can type this in a terminal to get the gnome control center on FC3:
Code:
gnome-control-center
By the way, if you haven't used the gnome control center lately, you may want to take another look at it because it seems to have undergone a facelift since I last updated my system. It now has a much nicer interface.
