FC3 SCSI MegaRAID : No drive detected on install, RH9 install is flawless.

Hello,

I had to wipe a server which had an RH9 install on it. I thought I might as well get FC3 going now. Unfortunately FC3 install is having some serious trouble detecting my Hard Drives.

Hardware:
Gateway 960 P/N 3501327 detailed specs here

Dual Xeon

Controllers:
Adaptec 29160 LVD SCSI Controller Card R2
ADAC 64-bit LVD SCSI Array Controller (493) R5
LSI U320 LVD 2-Channel SCSI Array Controller (518)

'megaraid' drivers always worked in the past, and the thing I keep seeing now is 'megaraid_mbox'

I have attempted to burn the file located at LSI's page here , however burning both that .zip file (for RH9) and also extracting the the .img file and burning it individually didn't work. FC3 install just kept telling me to "insert disc" after reading it.

I am using the correct FC3 iso's for my hardware when I have the i386 versions, I hope.

Thank you very much for your help, I have been at this for a long time now.

Small Update

FC2 detects and installs fine. How could I amend FC after an upgrade to make it work do you think? I have seen posts on this megaraid -> megaraid_mbox issue before, but there were no resolutions and I dont truly know if that is my initial problem.

I'd like your input.

Install Worked

I pulled the LSI scsi card out of the server and attached the HD array to the onboard controller (had to move the CDROM to secondary). Now DiskDruid sees the 5 HD as a RAID 5 array! Installation is working right now. Too bad about the LSI card, which has 64 MB of onboard RAM.
