a "traditional" birthday song for ya. (it's traditional for the group i belong to any way.)

THE BIRTHDAY DIRGE
tune: "Volga Boatmen"

1. Happy Birthday! <thud!> Happy Birthday! <thud!>
Now you've aged another year
Now you know that Death is near
Happy Birthday! <thud!> Happy Birthday! <thud!>

2. Happy Birthday! <thud!> Happy Birthday! <thud!>
Now that you're the age you are
Your demise cannot be far
Happy Birthday! <thud!> Happy Birthday! <thud!>

3. Happy Birthday! <thud!> Happy Birthday! <thud!>
May the candles on your cake
Burn like cities in your wake.
Happy Birthday! <thud!> Happy Birthday! <thud!>

4. Happy Birthday! <thud!> Happy Birthday! <thud!>
It's your birthday never fear
You'll be dead this time next year
Happy Birthday! <thud!> Happy Birthday! <thud!>

Happy Birthday.

P.S. I've got clothing older than you also.

Happy Birthday Grasshopper,

Is America come of age at 21 still? Always wondered that, in Australia its 18, but also 21 is another milestone of note (dunno why).

I myself am cellabrating the 21st anniversary of my 18th birthday this year!
Two milestones in one.....
I know its weak but what the hey, double the presents for meeeee.

Regards
Allan

OberonKenObi, in the US you can vote for your political leaders and enlist in the military at 18.

But you can't have a beer.

Happy birthday, dude. And I have clothes that are twice your age. Okay, it's just one shirt...
