FC3 with D-Link DWL-G520

Hello,

I have added DWL-G520 card to my linux box but cannot seem to get it to work.
I downloaded the following and installed them :

atrpms-61-1.at.noarch.rpm
kismet-2005-01-R1.tar
madwifi-0.9.4.12-15.rhfc3.at.i386.rpm
madwifi-kmdl-2.6.10-1.766_FC3smp-0.9.4.12-15.rhfc3.at.x86_64.rpm

and created the files
ifcfg-ath0
keys-ath0

and placed them in the following locations
/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts
/etc/sysconfig/networking/devices
/etc/sysconfig/networking/profiles/default

Added the following line:
alias ath0 ath_pci

To these two files:
/etc/modprobe.conf

couldnot find the file
/etc/modules.conf

and also modified the following

/usr/local/etc/kismet.conf

now When I try to activate my card it gives me a error saying couldnot validate ip address info(to be set via DHCP)

so I restarted my computer and on doing so it doesnot detect the card at all
the green light on the card doesnot come on at all..

The card works perfectly on XP mode

Any help will be appreciated..

Sorry i cant help (have the SAME problem)...but i just wanted to say, i tried a live CD of Kanotix (Knoppix/Debian based and can be installed to hd with ease) and simply went into the console, su'ed, hit 'pump -i ath0' (read it some where, i have no idea) and in about 5 seconds it connected to the open network...until this fedora gets easier and more user-friendly, i think im going to have to bail out to something easier. Im a noob.
