Dual-Boot

I have a single 80gb hard drive and i partioned it into 1 50gb section and left the other 30 gb unpartioned. I installed winxp then i installed fedora. at first fedora wasn't even recognized. then i reinstalled putting fedora on the MBR. Suddenly windows didn't work (no way to boot into it). How do i get both to be on the options list??

Problem is that i can't even boot fedora... windows just boots. is it cause i didn't install it on the mbr? i was told not to install it on the mbr.
